Greater Dunedin Little League

Welcome to Dunedin Little League!

For a parent considering Little League for the first time, it’s helpful to know that beyond just learning baseball, this experience offers children a chance to build confidence, make friendships, and develop valuable life skills. Little League isn’t just about winning or becoming the best player; it’s about the joy of being part of a team, understanding what it means to work toward a common goal, and learning to support others and celebrate together. Children gain a strong sense of belonging, develop perseverance, and even learn to handle challenges in a safe and encouraging environment. These lessons stay with them for life, influencing how they handle school, friendships, and other challenges they’ll face growing up.

The Little League experience also brings families into a community. From cheering on the sidelines to sharing post-game snacks, parents get to know each other and see their kids grow through each season. It’s a time when families connect, share in victories (and losses), and celebrate the small wins that make childhood memorable. Little League is as much about family and community as it is about the game itself, which is why so many families keep coming back season after season. It’s a place where children and their families get to experience something bigger than themselves, creating memories they’ll cherish for years.

The Schedule

There's no getting around it, playing spring ball is a commitment! Baseball, softball and teeball have different schedules. The Dunedin Little League sets the schedule for Baseball and Teeball, with most games played at Home in Dunedin. Softball is a little different - the schedule is set by District 12 and games occur around Pinellas county.

Baseball: 1 or 2 Practices + 2 Games per week
Softball: 1 or 2 Practices + 2 Games per week
Teeball: 1 Practice + 1 Game per week

Actual days are somewhat dependent on field and coach availability. Check out more information about softball and baseball.

Eligibility

Historically, you were required to play where you live. This year - for 2025 - the rules have changed a bit and you can choose your league if you are Tee-Ball, Single A Baseball or AA Softball. Even if an older sibling is playing at a different league, the younger player can move the whole family to a different league. We love ALL PLAYERS -- and want you to find the right community. If you live in Dunedin or go to school in Dunedin, you're totally in no matter what age or division!

Age

Divisions are somewhat governed by age, with the caveat that the VPs and Player Agents for Baseball and Softball will make calls for safety. A player's League Age may be different than their actual age. For Baseball and Teeball players, use this chart. For Softball players, use this chart. We know it's confusing and a little strange.

The Gear

Baseball: Helmet, Bat & Glove, Cleats
Softball: Helmet with Cage, Fielding Mask, Bat & Glove, Softball Pants & Cleats
